The Blackbrook Schools Olympic Torch comes to Taxal and Fernilee

We have taken part in the local Olympic torch relay, where schools run with their own (specially designed) torch to another school. Buxworth school ran to us along the canal and up through the memorial park. We made sure that they had a hero's and heroine's welcome. About an hour later we set off for Combes Infant School (we had quite a long leg to run). Our triumphant cross country team ran with Mrs Lonsdale and Mrs Brownsword. It was a really successful event. Thank you to the sports' partnership for organising it with us.
