Our Curriculum

It is the aim of Taxal and Fernilee Primary School to create a stimulating environment in which the children are actively engaged in their learning. It is a high priority of the school to develop literacy and numeracy skills. Wherever possible these areas of learning will be integrated into other parts of children’s learning and understanding across the whole curriculum. The school is committed to ensuring that children attain the levels expected at the end of Year 7 and this is also a key consideration of Ofsted.

 It is a requirement that all children should study the National Curriculum. The subjects of the the National Curriculum are split into the following categories.
