Class 3

Hello and Welcome to Class 3

Class 3 have had a really busy half term. I would like to share some stand out moments and successes we have had over the past few weeks. 

In PE, we have been working on a range of gymnastic skills including rolls, jumps and partner balances and in the final weeks we are going to apply these skills to the apparatus. Our favourite part was creating some  interesting shapes in our partner balances it was great fun to see how unique the balances were!

In Science, we have been learning about the bones in the human skeleton and how to keep our bones and bodies healthy. You can look at the pictures of our split pin skeletons on the school Facebook page. 

In the final few weeks of our topic on South America and the rainforest, we have created some amazing map work. We used used our knowledge of symbols and keys to create our own symbols for the physical and human features of South America. 

In English this week, we have been writing our own Fables using animals to tell a story with a lesson to be learnt at the end of the story. The children have produced some really high quality writing that we are really proud of.
